Bula!

Fiji is defiantly my happy place. We have visited the beautiful island I think 4 times now and are heading back for an adults only trip in a few weeks.

Each time we have spent 7 – 10 nights at Denarau. We made the choice to not venture out to the islands as each time we had small children.

For the 1st 3 trips we stayed at The Sheraton Fiji Resort. We absolutely LOVED it the 1st time and were so relaxed that we did not want to try another resort.

I booked private transfers from the airport to the resort which is about a 30 minute trip. I like the idea of having a transfer ready to go as soon as we arrive. The generally will help with the luggage and even can supply baby car seats.

The Sheraton Fiji Resort  is  situated in the tropical oasis of Denarau Island and is beachfront. The rooms are very spacious and knowing each time we went we either had a stroller or a double pram I asked for a ground level room. The resort is also more than happy to supply cots if needed.

The resort has a family pool right next to the kids club (I will get to the kids club), another large pool with a swim up bar and an adults only pool. They have daily activities  to keep you busy or if your like me swimming, reading and relaxing is just fine.

So the kids club!! I am not one (I think) to not want to spend time or experience everything with the kids but we all need just a little quiet time.

On every trip we have hired a nanny directly from the resort and they have been fantastic. They are so caring and kind – the kids love them! From memory and prices may have changed but you will pay about $18 for 3 hours with a nanny. Our nanny would go to every activity with the kids whilst they were in the kids club. When we took our 1st trip to Fiji, Ruby was only 4 months old. Being so little she was still taking lots of naps during the day. When nap time came around the nanny would lay in the air-con room whilst Ruby had her nap which allowed me to enjoy time with Cooper or just be able to have a swim by myself.

The LaiLai kids club offers a comprehensive daily program that keeps your children entertained throughout your holiday – and is FREE!

On our last trip to Fiji we decided to stay right next door at the Sheraton Villas for 10 nights. We had a 2 bedroom lagoon villa and it was HUGE! We could walk right out the front of our villa straight into the pool with views of the ocean. The resort’s spacious Two Bedroom Lagoon Villas are located on either the ground or first floors. First-floor Lagoon Villas overlook the lagoon pool; whilst the ground-floor Lagoon Villas have direct access to the pool. With separate living and dining areas, these villas feature a comfy lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, a master bedroom with en-suite and an additional guest room with separate bathroom facilities and a laundry – woop woop!

Whilst staying at either of these resorts you have access to the kids club, 14 dining venues and water sports.

I honestly could not recommend a trip to Fiji more highly each time we have had such a great time.
